Sour Cherry Martini

Makes 4 Cocktails

1/2 C Fresh Lemon Juice

1.5 C Fresh or frozen cherries

1/3 C Sugar

1/3 Water

1/2 C Vodka

To make simple syrup, bring sugar and water to a boil in a small saucepan.  Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.

Puree cherries with simple syrup in a blender to make cherry syrup.

Divide the cherry syrup among the martini glasses.

Pour lemon juice and vokda into a martini shaker with ice.  Pour over the cherry syrup in glasses.

Garnish with a cherry or two.
