Royal Icing

Royal Icing

Makes~ 3 Cups

Use this icing to pipe decorations and flowers – not for icing a cake.

3 T Meringue Powder

1 lb Powdered Sugar (4 C)

6 T Warm Water

In a clean bowl with clean whisk beaters, beat all ingredients until peaks form.  *Any residual fat or oil on the beaters will deflate the icing*

If you are using a stand mixer, mix on medium speed for 7-10 minutes.

If you are using a hand-held mixer, mix on high speed for 10-12 minutes.
