Credit Where Credit is Due

I should have disclosed this information earlier, so I apologize for not yet recognizing the hard work that my staff puts into this blog.  My husband, Scott, is the sole and most important staff member of “Whisk This.com”  A web-developer by day, taste-tester, photographer, and blog tech by night, Scott is hard at work behind the scenes.  Along with his typing fingers, his taste buds get quite a work-out.  (I know, he leads a very difficult life having to try all these great recipes.)

But on a more serious note, I do want to thank him for encouraging and supporting me in this new venture.  And a very big thank you for helping with all the nitty-gritty plug-ins and various blog accouterments.   I do have to admit that it is relatively easy to start a blog when you live with someone who can custom code and design the entire project for you.  All I have to do is say, “Hmmm, wouldn’t it be nice if I could…?” and the next thing I know, my blog is e-mailing, alerting, updating and god knows what else it’s programmed it to do.

Scott and I have been together for over six years, but are newly weds as of this past October.  Along with several core values in common, most say we were destined for each other because of Scott’s incredible sweet tooth.  Oddly enough, I do not have a sweet tooth.  I can appreciate the taste, but when it comes to cravings, a slice of good cheese beats out cake any day.  Opposite to me on the dessert issue, Scott will eat anything and everything that contains sugar.  He is even famous for eating a deep fried turkey sandwich with raspberry preserves, coated with powdered sugar, and yes, this was his dinner.  (The sandwich is called a Monte Cristo, by the way, in case anyone thinks I am making this up).  So yes, we are a match made in heaven…the man with the largest sweet tooth marries a pastry chef.  (I happen to think our compatibility stems from a deeper level, but let’s not underestimate the power a good meal can have over any man!)

From time to time, Scott may pipe up to include his two cents, but for the most part, his work is done at the dinner table and in front of the lap-top (or behind the camera – he has taken most of the blog pics).  But yes, he does eat most of the “subjects” from the blog, and when he has had his fill, he becomes a hero at work, carrying boxes of cookies and cupcakes.

So thank you to my husband for being passionate about me and my passions.

***and yes, ladies, he does have one of those perfect male metabolisms where he can eat anything and never gain weight, but I still manage to love him***

  1. I love him too.

  2. Aw, thanks for the shout out! I’m pretty sure I get the better end of the deal – I get to play with the blog, and eat only the finest cuisine.

Mark – thanks also for the shout out. I don’t have any control over granting access to guest bloggers though. Sorry. :P

  3. I think you two will do almost as well as Uncle Jack and I. Love you both, Aunt Debbie
