Chocolate Scroll Wedding Cake

Chocolate Wedding Cake with White Scrolls

Chocolate Wedding Cake with White Scrolls

I made this three-tiered cake at work a couple of weeks ago.  Chocolate through and through, this simple cake was chocolate, layered with chocolate mousse, then iced with chocolate buttercream.   Classic white scrolls were piped on the sides of the cake for an elegant design.  Because the cake was made at work (The Crown Market), it is a kosher wedding cake.

  3. Any chance we can get the recipe for the cake & frostings???? Looks delicious.

  4. Hi Jen,
This cake was baked at The Crown Market, using an old family recipe of my boss. Unfortunately, the recipe is not mine to distribute. However, part of the appeal of the cake is in the combination of chocolate cake, chocolate mousse, and chocolate buttercream – that is something you could recreate using other good quality recipes.

  5. This cake is gorgeous! I’m getting married soon and I’ve decided on a chocolate cake. Yours has given me some good ideas. Thanks!

  6. Sweet Nothings Desserts on facebook has this picture posted as her own and even said she made it. However, if you compare the marks on the cake itself you can so tell she just photoshopped the back drop.

  7. Thanks Holly, I posted on the page and they removed the picture. While I am flattered that they chose to showcase my work, I do think the bakery’s customers deserve to know the images on their page are not their craftsmanship!
